What we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us. From pet families, that is the selections you make in the research profile — species, life stage, and research area — plus your name and email address if you ask us to send the research summary. From research partners, that is the organization details, contact details, research setting, species studied, and research objective you enter on the application form.

We also collect basic technical information that every website receives, such as browser type, approximate region, and the pages you visited. We do not collect animal medical records, diagnoses, or clinical histories, and our forms do not ask for them.

How we use it

To send you the research information you requested, to review research partner applications, to answer messages you send us, to keep the site secure, and to understand which research areas people find useful so we can improve the source library. If you ticked the optional consent box, we also send occasional research education emails. That consent is separate from your request, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We share it only with the service providers that operate this site on our behalf — hosting, email delivery, and analytics — under contracts that limit them to processing it for us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Research partner details are kept separate from the pet family education list.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions and email subscriptions for 24 months from your last interaction with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or a legal obligation requires us to keep them longer. When a retention period ends, we delete or anonymize the information.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your marketing consent. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights, and we respond to requests within the time frame your local law requires.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to measure aggregate usage. Your cookie preference is stored locally on your device and can be changed at any time from your browser settings.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
